- How Useful Is It Really?
Blogs are used by people to communicate their thoughts and ideas. Sort of like an online personal diary. Some people use them to communicate with their friends and it wouldn’t surprise me that one or two marriage proposals have even been communicated by blogs. Not my cup of tea. They can be used to share photos and what a great idea for a wedding or even for Granma overseas to see the first pictures of her grand child. Let’s face it those mobile phone photos are a bit small for older people to see in detail. However it in Internet Marketing that blogs come into their own. OK you are Internet Marketer who prefers to send emails. But don’t you find it frustrating working out what words will be rejected by the various spam filters who seem to have a mind of their own and are forever changing their mind. I know I do. So why not send that email but instead of worrying about it’s content on what spam filters will reject just add a link to a blog instead. Now you have freedom to write the word “free” as many times as you like. You can add pictures, audio and video to your blog to entertain as well as sell your product to your customers. Ok you decide to do a quick promotion or even to add a product to a giveaway due to open in a couple of hours. Now I just hate waiting for domain names to populate or whatever they seem to do so why not just use a blog instead. Those blogger or wordpress ones are great for one off promotions. You can set them up in minutes and they seem to rank higher initially in search engines as well. Want traffic back to your main site? Why not create some of your own with lots of blogs pointing back to your site. More backlinks also help increase the ranking of you site as well. So let’s do some blogging………
