A Killer Product Idea!

July 1st, 2009

Having and selling your own product is one of the keys to building a huge online income. But if you’ve been struggling to come up with your own product, here’s a great idea that you could use…

Once upon a time, companies trained new people at large gatherings. These days, new employees attend audio and web conferences via the Internet, saving time and money to all concerned.

Audio and video sessions have applications in all sorts of ways. Did you know that there are churches that conduct Sunday School classes with audio and video links, so that members who are unable to get to the actual church can attend and participate?

Audio/video sessions using the internet can revolve around all sorts of subjects, from how to fix a flat tire to detailed sessions on fixing broken relationships.

They can include travelogues to exotic and distant places, helpful guidelines in dealing with a legal matter, and even something as simple as preparing a meal in twenty minutes or less.

People are often willing to pay on a per access basis or even a monthly subscription to have access to these types of sessions. So why not capitalize on this by using your own skills to create you’re own video tutorials?

Selling this sort of service is not hard at all. Once you identify your target market, it’s just a matter of securing the types of audio/video sessions that will target your customers and makie it easy for them to connect with the sessions.

You may find it cost effective to outsource the creation of the videos to someone else, or it may be in the best interests of yourself and your customers to develop the sessions in house.

Evaluate your resources and your level expertise and make a sound decision on which way to go.

Video tutorials are a great way to grab both a larger chunk of the profit pie as you can often add a premium to the price due to the preceived value in this form of product.

And if you can incorporate them into a membership site, this also creates reliable revenue streams that you can depend on from month to month.

Get some input from your existing customers and develop a nice suite of videos. You will be glad you did.

Enjoy

How to Select the Right Product to Promote!

June 28th, 2009

Not all products are created equal. In fact, that is probably the driving motivation behind your decision to
sell affiliate products if the first place.

If you decide to pick your product from a list on Clickbank, select very carefully. Rather than haphazardly
selecting the product with the highest commission, look for ones that have the highest gravity ratings.

The gravity rating is basically a measure of the products popularity and the ideal rating of a product to promote is between 50 - 120. Any rating above this may mean the product is too popular, and as such you will have extreme competition and may find it difficult to compete.

But you can be assured of one thing…

If a product is popular, a lot of people are buying these products and you can almost guarantee they are better than other products for sale within that niche.

In addition to picking good products, you also want to get your timing right. Here’s a stupid tip that will illustrate my point…

…it’s pointless promoting garden hoses during winter. No one will buy.

Focus on products that a lot of people want NOW, and if their popularity just surged, now is the best time to get in the market.

Enjoy

The Key to Building a Long-term Online Income!

June 20th, 2009

Always, always, always capture the contact details of your visitors to your web pages.

Rather than generating traffic through pay per click, search engine optimization, and other methods and then sending that traffic to your affiliate link, you should make an effort to convert them into list members first.

Why?

Two reasons:

1. simple mathematical reasoning; and
2. the collective experience of many marketers.

The simple mathematical reasoning goes something like this:

Virtually everyone who would have purchased the product will opt in to your mailing list. And many who definitely would not have purchased the product will opt in to your mailing list.

So instead of converting at a rate of around 1-3% (in affiliate sales), you will convert between 15 and 40% of visitors (to your mailing list).

From there, not only will you get the chance to contact the willing buyers, you will also be able to contact your more reluctant visitors to convince them to purchase your product.

Additionally, once they’re on a list, this is no longer a one-off effort. You get the chance to market to them again and again for months or even years.

As a marketer, one of the best tools you have available is your list. Always, always, always use your list. It is the key to building a long-term sustainable online income.

Do You Buy the Product or the Dream?

June 14th, 2009

After reading many posts in a membership forum I penned this article and submited it to Ezine Articles.

Online Marketing is Not Easy - Why is This?

Daily I receive emails telling me how easy it is to make money using the Internet. All I have to do is hit the download now button and put an amount of money usually ending the numeral seven in to a payment processor such as PayPal. Lightning fast the product is digitally delivered to me and within fifteen minutes I could be making money.

Unfortunately these professionally written sales letters have more to do with psychology and how to get people to buy rather than the actual product itself. They have a high probability of being written by a professional copywriter rather than someone that has actually tested or used the product being promoted. Most of the people promoting these products commonly called affiliates have not used or tested the products. Most have little interest in the product itself as to them it is just another product to sell and make money.

So why do we buy these products? We all want to make money online. Most of us have been looking for the “secret ingredient” to allow us to make money on-line. What is this secret ingredient everyone is looking for? Basically it is how to make money with little or no effort.

How are we sold this “magic potion”? We are presented with pictures of enormous mansions, shiny new cars and luxurious holidays. Add to this mix lots of screen shots of bank account details of money most of us only dream of and before you know you are being sold the hope of making money on-line and not the actual product. So, by the time we reach the “download now” button, we buy the product hoping that it is that Holy Grail we are so desperately seeking.

Does the Holy Grail of on-line money making exist? I for one have not found it and I very much doubt I ever will, but I have found clues to the next best thing and I am pursuing it with all of my energy!

The next time you are ready to push that “Buy Now!” button, remember that YOU are the secret ingredient, the “magic potion” and possibly the “HOLY GRAIL!

The next time the mansions, the shiny cars and the promise of “instant wealth become too much, e-mail me and I will talk you through the crisis!
