Why Build a Mailing list?
Writing a full blown long sales letter is too much of a pain in the butt. Who reads them anyway? Maybe read the heading and then a quick glance at the bottom to check out the price. If it’s free a few will opt in.
When traffic comes onto my squeeze page, or someone buys from me, I would rather get them on a mailing list and send them short e-mails to convince them to buy. Wouldn’t you? Idea of building a relationship of trust first.
After you have built up a relationship with your mailing list you can follow-up with prospects and are more likely to convince them over a period of a few days to join your one time payment or recurring membership site.
